The Movember Diaries: Day 30

So the last day of Movemeber is finally here which means that come tomorrow I can finally shave my mustache.

I was debating for a while about keeping my stache until the new year, but I’ve reached the point where I’m over having a mustache.

It was a long and interesting journey this month and I thank all of you that have been following me through it.  I also want to thank all of those who have made donations to my Mo Space page.  Unless I get a donation after this is posted final tally brings my earnings to $235.  So thanks again to all of those who donated.

Now all I have to do is sit here and count down the hours until I can final shave and go back to normal.  But my biggest concern is that I’ve had a mustache for so long I don’t know if I’ll be able to function without it.

The Movember Diaries: Day 26

Today was the first time since I’ve grown a mustache that I’ve really begun to reap the benefits of having a mustache.

Today was cold extremely cold.  I discovered as I was walking from the Sheridan parking lot to the main building that I was cold everywhere save one place… my upper lip.

I know that mustaches are sometimes called lip warmers but I never really realized how true that term was until today.  While the rest of my body was shivering from the cold my upper lip was nice and warm.

I might just keep my mustache throughout the winter just so I can be a bit warmer during these cold Canadian winter days.

The Movember Diaries: Day 23

So I’ve been looking into why I’m getting so many references to my blog because of the King of all Cosmos and it turns out if you search for him on Google images one of the first images that pops up is the image I’ve been used in the diaries.

So a bit of advice for those who want to boost the traffic on they’re own blogs, include a reference to the King of all Cosmos and you will enjoy a nice boost in page views.

So to test my theory even more I’m going to include another picture of the King and see if it does anything.

The Movember Diaries: Day 22

Mustache Update
Another week has come and gone so that means it’s time for another mustache update.

Day 15

Day 15 the mustache is coming in nicely but still lacks a little something.

As you can see now my stache is much more thicker and full bodied compared to last week.

Other News
Despite not updating everyday I’m still getting a good amount of traffic.  The weird thing is, the reason for the traffic is because people are searching for the King of all Cosmos and are being redirected here.

I find it odd that I referenced an obscure video game character once and it’s getting me site views.  I guess the King is more popular than I thought.

The Movember Diaries: Day 18

I didn’t have an update yesterday for two reasons.

The first being that I had a presentation to do today so I spent most of my time yesterday putting it together.  The second reason being that it’s becoming harder and harder (that’s what she said) to come up with things to say about mustaches everyday.

So as Movember is almost at an end I probably won’t be updating that dairies as much as I used to. I’m still going to update it a few times a week but I might not do it everyday.  I havn’t completely decided yet it all depends if I can think of something worth writing each day.

In Movember news I got an e-mail the other day saying that $10 million has been raised for Movember so far.  So a big congrats to everyone who’s participating, and a big thanks to everyone who’s made a donation to not just me, but to anyone who’s taking part in Movember.

The Mustache Report
The only thing I have to say is my mustache itches… a lot.

It’s driving my crazy!!!

I think this is all part of my stache’s plan to weaken me mentaly so it can better gain control. While I’m busy scratching away it’s gaining more and more ground.

So itchy… so very very itchy 😦

The Movember Diaries: Day 15

The Mustache Report
For anyone who reads these diaries on a daily basis, yes I didn’t do a weekend edition. Why?  Well I’ll tell you why, I was just plain lazy thats why.

I played some poker on the weekend and being someone who doesn’t usually play poker that much I went in confident that my newfound mustache would give me some type of advantage.

I started off really strong but since my mustache is still growing I guess it didn’t have enough power to get me the win.

On another mustache related note I’ve noticed that on the weekends my mustache is really itchy for some reason.  I also noticed today that my stache feels a bit tight and binding at points.  I guess it’s just growing pains that come with a mustahce.

Mustache Update
Also since it’s been another week it’s time for another mustache update.

There’s differently a big improvement compared to last week as my stache appears a lot thicker this time around.

It’s a short entry today, but it’s big news.

WE DID IT PEOPLE!!!!

I’m happy to announce that I’ve reached my fundraising goal off $200 for Movember.  So a big thanks to everyone who helped me out and donated to the cause.

The Movember Diaries: Day 11

Since it’s Remembrance Day I’m taking some time out of the day to remember a stache that has been lost and forgotten.  I’m talking about the “Chaplin.”

Charlie Chaplin had a stache that was truley unique in it’s design.  While most men had a mustache that cover the entire lip Chaplin had a mustache that focused on the center.  His mustache was truley unique until a douche bag named Hitler came along with a similar mustache style and had to ruin it for everybody.

So thanks to Hitler, the Chaplin never caught on, instead the Chaplin is now completely extinct. No man dares grow a Chaplin because it would be mistaken for a Hitler.

Perhaps in another world where Hitler didn’t have a mustache the Chaplin is a hit, but sadly that is not the reality.

So to pay tribute to Chaplin and his mustache, I’m posting a video of Chaplin doing what he did best.  Making people laugh.

The Movember Diaries: Day 10

Mustache Report
I find that I’ve become somewhat of a spokesperson for Movember among my journalism class as I’ve been interviewed for 2 different videos about Movember.

As well as being interviewed I’m also in the process in making my on Movember video for my A/V class.  We filmed things today and I think it went over well.  We start editing tomorrow, and I’m sure that I’ll post the video here when it’s done.

Other than that nothing not much to report on the mustache side of things.  It’s coming along nicely and I’m still find that I’m involuntarily touching it through out the day.
